Sister Hannah, an outsider artist from Oregon, shares with us her Revelation Series. Hannah began drawing at a very young age, but it was the inspiration springing from a deep love of horses that gave her talent legs. She worked for twenty years to perfect a photorealistic technique in black and white that left those who commissioned her portraits of their show horses well satisfied. But, after a powerful near death experience in 1992, she found a rainbow of color in her hands and a completely new style. She painted for five years. The results (so far) are these illustrations of key passages in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
